Poland and Finland – Wild Eyes

I have so many questions this morning.

How did I miss this absolutely gorgeous collaboration between Poland’s Kasia Mos and Finland’s Norma John? It’s the brooding ballad I didn’t know I needed on such a cloudy day.

But why does Kasia Mos get top billing while Norma John are ‘featured’? Is it because her record company paid for the video, even though it’s clearly got way more of a Norma John feel?

Who picked all these clothes for you? Don’t get me wrong – I own like five variants on that exact metallic jacket, but I also don’t wear it hiking in the woods. And Kasia Mos, you’ve got a crop top on – if you get lost, that’s not going to help keep you warm while you shelter.

Why is Kasia Mos the only one who gets to feed a cute baby animal in this scenario? I know that she’s a big animal rights activist, but there’s just something about the Norma John vibe that seems to suggest that they can communicate with animals telepathically.

And finally, why does this whole thing have such bad CG at the end? It was a great video! Great! And then the whole vibe was ruined by artificially flowering trees which really do look completely artificial and throw me out of the whole nature vibe. WHY WHY WHY WHY?

Anyway, great song. Glad to see Norma John keeping active with songwriting and Wiccan rituals.
